Plan for Release 0.15.0

  • improveme daemon
    • implement processing penalties and notifications in the daemon
    • a fix for bug #1646180 would be nice
    • improve feed item retrieval (its too unreliable)
  • add ability to export it in a tables raw csv format for further processing
    • should be generic interface, similar to download.php, needs some design work
    • use it for tax report and other things as it seems useful
  • make autofigures as flexible as initially imagined
  • improve Comment writing in Personal Feed?
    • perhaps do the long planed integration with regular Feed Items?
    • ability to link a comment with a position and show the comment in the positions' news
    • WIKI like formatting would be nice. I like the way its done in Trac.
  • bugfixes over 0.14.x, as they arise

Long Term Plan for Release 1.0.0

  • re-design the plugin API (objectize it)
  • re-design SQL Query handling to solve SQL Injection issues
    • move either to Pear::DB or safeSQL or (most likely) PDO
    • always use bind variables in queries
  • Documentation
    • put stuff from doc/ directory into the manual as 'static' part,
      phpDocumentor can do that IMO
    • link the manual into the gui
  • Database Structure Cleanup
    • conversion to be naming convention for tables and columns must be finished (see doc/stockmaniac-schema.png on the status)
  • validate all input
    • there should be no way to get HTML, JavaScript or SQL code straight into the database
    • investigate XSS (Cross-Site-Scripting) possibilities
    • solve locale dependend input issues (see BUG #1284137)
  • improve PositionNews
    • read flag
    • extend related news lookup to use more sources (perhaps this will wait until RSS is available at Yahoo! Europe)
(please note that the above is more-or-less a rough list - details might change. I might even decide to drop things or implement something that is not listed here. Feel free to email me  about the current status.)
