StockManiac is developed in my spare time, just like many other OSS Projects out there. Anyhow, my goal is to learn how to swim in the Stock Markets without loosing. StockManiac is there to provide the neccessary management stuff around that. Further I use it to improve my technical skills in all the technologies it needs to make it (since I just don't like (re)writing those non-usable, educational-only programming examples - I want to create something real and useful). Right now I do not accept money to finance and/or speed up the development process. Mainly because, right now, there is no extra cost directly related to development (except for my personal time of course). Secondly I do not want this extra sort of pressue that always appears when there is money involved - StockManiac should be technically nice and creative, not on-time. If you are using StockManiac and like what I do you can still show your appreciation by contributing code, testing, reporting flaws or just by discussing it and/or suggesting features. All of that helps making it better. Stephan
